He believed he could fly...

The chill in the air woke Rosalee two hours earlier than usual, although she barely slept a wink. The first man she ever loved was gone again...

Rosa decided that she shouldn't stay in bed and sulk for the rest of the day, and jumped out of bed. She got dressed, ready for work, when she realized what time it was.

"Maybe I should take a walk," she whispered to herself as she walked out of the house.

Rosa decided to walk towards the park, but walked as slowly as she could. After a while, she saw Christopher Moreau walking towards her. Trying to be polite, she decided to say something to him.

"Hi," Rosa said, with the most sincere smile she could give.
"Grmph," he said, and stalked past her.

"Well, I tried," Rosa thought as she looked at her watch. *7:30*
Rosa decided to just be early for work and walked slowly towards the Good Samaritan clinic. When she walked inside, she saw no sign of Clara Kate, but then again, Rosa was early. Rosa sat at her desk and started to check her email.
---------------------------------------------------

The day was very uneventful as Rosa started towards her apartment. When she was about to walk into Castle Apartments, her phone rang. She looked at her screen and saw it was an unknown number, but feeling adventurous, she answered the phone.

-"Hello?"
-"Rosa, baby, I'm so glad you picked up," the caller on the other end said as Rosa froze in her tracks (and the middle of the street)
-"James..."
-"Yes, baby, it's me. I called to tell you that I'm outta here."
-"You're out of where?"
-"I'm outta here. This world. Baby, I'm gonna fly! I'm gonna finally be free!"
-"James, what are you talking about?"
-"Rosalee Mescudi, I love you!"
Rosa heard sirens, whistles, and yelling in the background, and started to panic.
-"James, where are you? What are you about to do?"
-"Rosa, baby, I'm on top of the world! I'm about to soar!"
Suddenly, Rosa heard someone scream, "JAMES, NO!"
Then, there was the sound of wind blowing quickly, and the phone went dead...

Fearing you, loving you. I won't let you pull me down

Rosa began running away, scared and screaming for her life. 'You'll never be good enough, Rosa. You'll always be a failure to me.' Rosa ran faster as she saw the creature speeding up to chase her. 'NOOOOO! LEAVE ME ALONE!' Rosa tried to run faster, but it seemed that the monster was getting closer and closer. "NO! GET AWAY FROM ME!' The monster pounced on her, turned her around, and Rosa screamed as she saw a familiar face, albeit a bloodier version. 'Rosa, I'm glad I left you. You never meant anything to me,' The monster whispered, as it raised a claw with red nails to slash at Rosalee.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Rosa screamed as she woke up, clearly disheveled and not ready for work. She looked over at her alarm clock, seeing that it would go off in 2 minutes, and just unplugged it. She went towards the bathroom and splashed cold water on her face. "Just don't think about it," she said aloud to herself, still shaken from her dream. Rosa hopped into the shower and headed for work.
-------------------------
Rosa walked into the Good Samaritan Clinic, and waved at where Clara Kate should be, but she wasn't at work. Rosa frowned and made her way to her desk. The day started off slowly, with absolutely no patients, which, unfortunately, gave Rosa time to think.

'Why was he in my dream last night? I haven't thought of him ever since I moved here... What is going on," she thought as she remembered the events of last night. When Ethel Williams pushed her to the ground, it must've triggered this. Maybe it was the way she said, "Rosa, I'm sorry." How did Ethel even know her? Rosalee contemplated about this as she heard the bell above the door ring. She smelled Axe and cedar as she stood to see the first patient of the day. Suddenly, Rosalee felt dizzy as the face from her dream appeared right before her eyes.

"Hello, Rosalee. I've been looking for you," he said with a smile.

Rosa was scared. The last time she saw James, things didn't go so well.

Nine months ago...

Rosalee woke up to an empty bed, again. She huffed and puffed as she threw on a sweatshirt and headed downstairs for breakfast. As she pulled out the frying pan, preparing to make breakfast for one, James walked through the door, covered in sweat and mud.
"James! Where the hell were you? And why are you covered in filth?"
"Rosa, baby, I'm fine. It's alright." James said as he kissed her and brushed past her.
"You didn't answer my question, James."
"And I'm not going to... yet. I need to take a shower. What's for breakfast?"
"James, don't change the subject. WHERE WERE YOU?!"
"Rosa, why does it matter? I'm here now!"
"Why does it MATTER? It matters, because I woke up in an empty bed for the fifth time. It matters because this thing that you're doing seems to mean more to you than I do."
"Oh Rosa, don't pull this shit again. I'm here, dammit. Leave me the hell alone!" James screamed as he made his way upstairs.
"This is not over." Rosa said as she walked after him. James was in the bedroom, taking his dirty leather jacket and chucking it into the laundry bin.
"Don't mix your muddy clothes with the rest of the laundry!"
"Rosalee, can you stop with your nagging?!"
"I'll stop nagging when you answer my question!"
"I'M NOT ANSWERING YOUR QUESTION!" James screamed as his hand flew towards Rosa's face, knocking her to the ground. Rosa was shocked. James had never hit her before, and she didn't realize he had it in him. She didn't know she had bothered him that much. Tears streamed down her face as James' face went from anger to pure shock as he crouched over Rosalee.
"Rosa, I'm sorry. Oh my God, I'm so sorry."
Rosa couldn't make any words, so she just jumped up, grabbed some jeans, her wallet, and keys, and ran towards the door. James was right behind her, telling her how sorry he was, and telling her not to leave, all while tears continued to cry. When she finally started the car, he screamed that he loved her, which made her cry even more. Rosa drove and drove, not knowing where she was going or what she was going to do, but by nightfall, she made it to a small town, where she saw a sign that read, 'Casa de Waffles'...
----------------------------
"James, I-I-I can't look at you right now. Can you please leave?" Rosa said, glad that she was protected by the glass in front of her desk.

"Rosa, please... Just let me talk. I won't do anything, I promise. Rosa, I'm sorry. I let my temper get the best of me, when I didn't answer your question. I wasn't doing anything bad that night. I was just caught up with friends, and time flew by so quickly. I know it's been almost a year, and you probably haven't thought of me until now, but I... I just miss you, Rosa. I-I still love you."

Rosa began to feel tears form, as she felt that she was beginning to feel something for him again.
"Is that all you have to say, James?" she said, her voice sounding strained as she held back the tears.
"Rosa, baby, you have to forgive me. I'll never do that again."
"You can leave now, James."
"Rosa, I-"
"Just... go..."
James stepped back, clearly hurt, and made his way out of the Good Samaritan Clinic. When he left, Rosa fell back in her chair, tears finally being freed.
---------------------
The rest of the day flew by, with not too many patients. Rosa made her way home, ready for a nice long rest. When she got to her floor, she saw James standing by the elevator.

"I didn't know what time you got home, so I was trying to leave a note. Rosa, before you yell at me, I just wanted to tell you that I still love you, and I've been looking for you ever since you left me that morning."
Without knowing what came over her, Rosa grabbed James' face and kissed him. She couldn't help herself. He was the first guy she ever fell in love with, and there would always be a place in her heart for him. James held her in the hall, and whispered, "Thank you for forgiving me." As Rosa was about to respond, the elevator dinged and a unfamiliar man appeared. He had a badge that said FBI.

"James Watson?"
"Yes?" James responded, looking as if he knew what was happening next.
"You are under arrest for the murder of Kyle Bronner."
"James, what did you do?"
"You have the right to remain silent."
"Rosa, I love you," James said, as he looked serene.
"James, what happened?"
"Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law."
"Rosa, I'm sorry," James said as he kissed her, and was led out of the apartment building.

Rosa was shocked, but she ran towards her apartment, unlocked the door, and ran towards her window. A minute passed and she saw James walking out. She opened her window, and yelled his name. Both him and the detective look up at her. James mouthed, "Don't wait for me, babe," as he was put in the back of a black car. When the car drove away, Rosa slid to the ground and cried. The first and only man she ever truly loved was back in her life one minute, and gone the next.

I wanna live a life from a new perspective

RRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!

Rosa looked over at her alarm clock to see the time and stop the noise. "9:30" she said aloud. Rosa felt good knowing she had no work, but she knew staying in bed all day would only harm her. Rosa got into the shower, and ready to go. She figured she could just help out at the clinic.

As she made her way across the street, she had a nervous feeling that something bad was going to happen. She shook it off and made her way into the clinic.
---------------------------------

Clara decided to stay longer, and told Rosa to just go home. Rosa walked out of the clinic and decided to go for a walk. Minutes passed and she realized that she was walking by the burnt down Forever 21 shoe store. She looked at her phone and saw the time. 6:25. Suddenly, Rosa heard a ruckus, and saw Ethel Williams running towards her. Ethel pushed Rosa to the ground, smelling sweaty, whispered, "Rosa, I'm sorry!" and continued to run in the opposite direction.

'What the hell is going on?' Rosalee thought as she walked home, clearly disturbed. When she got home, she sat down, wondering how such a boring day could turn into whatever you would call this. When Rosa finally fell asleep, she found herself in the middle of a nightmare.
